Campaign budget

Monthly budget or budget for a period, how the minimum for the chosen networks is calculated and how money is charged from the wallet.

You set the budget on the “Launch” step of the wizard or later on the campaign’s “Settings” tab. Money for ads is charged from the wallet, and the plan is paid for separately.

Budget type

  • Monthly: an amount for a calendar month. You can change it at any time, and the new amount applies from the next day.

  • For a period: an amount for the whole “Active period”. With this type, the start and end dates are required.

There is no separate daily budget. The dashboard shows a guide figure, “≈ amount per day”: the monthly budget divided by the number of days in the month, or the period budget divided by the number of days in the period.

Minimum budget

Every network has a daily minimum. The campaign minimum is the sum of the daily minimums of the chosen networks, multiplied by 31 for a monthly budget or by the number of days for a period budget. Facebook and Instagram count as one network, Meta.

The minimum is shown next to the field as “min. amount”. If you enter less, the dashboard will not save the changes and asks you to raise the budget. Minimums are set in dollars and converted into the account currency at the day’s exchange rate.

Split between networks

The “Settings” tab has a “Split between networks” block. The shares must add up to 100%, and every network must get at least its minimum. If “Automatic budget split” is on, Airy moves the budget between networks based on results and tells you about every change.

How money is charged

Every hour, the daily share of each active campaign is charged from the wallet together with the Airy fee. Nothing is charged before the start date or after the end date.

To launch, the wallet must hold at least one daily share plus the fee. If the money runs out while the ads are running, the campaign becomes “Paused: insufficient funds” and resumes by itself after you top up.
